One of my favorite little clients down in the Charlotte area is a sweet two year old, named Braxton. At 7 months of age Braxton was airlifted to Levine Children’s Hospital due to a prolonged uncontrollable seizure. Since then, his seizure activity has increased. On any given day he can have up to 50 seizures. While most are brief, many require medication to stop and result in extended hospitalization. At 16 months Braxton was diagnosed with an intractable form of epilepsy called Severe Myoclonic Epilepsy of Infancy (SMEI), or Dravet Syndrome. Dravet Syndrome is a rare and catastrophic form of epilepsy for which there currently is no cure. Braxton will not outgrow these seizures. I had never even heard of it before I met him and his amazing family. As a way of raising money for the Dravet Syndrome Foundation, $100 out of every itty bitty mini session booked on August 12th will be donated to them so that they can hopefully work on finding help for kids like Braxton.
Itty Bitty Mini Sessions are $125 and include up to 15 minutes in front of the camera, a CD containing all of the finished and edited photos from your session, as well as a 25% discount on all prints ordered within 7 days of receiving your proofs. If you have questions or want to get on the schedule, call or email me!
